The following positions are presently available at within our
organization:JOB DESCRIPTION
Front Desk Supervisor
Reports Direct to: Guest Services Manager
Line Relations with: Reservations, Front Desk, Department Heads
Normal Hours of Work: As Scheduled
Work Area: Reservations desk and Front Office area
Responsibilities:
To provide excellent service to guests, ensuring level of service meets Hotel
standards
Ensure efficient daily operations of Reservations
Ensure the Hotel’s Policies and Procedures are followed
Provide guidance to other reservation agents as well as work as a team player
Duties:
1. Perform all duties and tasks assigned
2. Answer all calls in a friendly, courteous tone and manner
3. Supervise staff and ensure all procedures and policies are followed.
4. Knowledge of Encore and Opera POS systems
5. Monitor rate plans in-house and provide assistance to other staff to optimize
yield management
6. Constantly be aware of activities of surrounding hotels and react accordingly
7. Closely monitor the Hotel’s availability and update
8. Organize all group, tour and conference bookings through POS system making
sure all information is accurate and correct, proper billing instructions and
timely rooming lists
9. Update GSM of required information and changes
10. Work assigned shifts at Front Desk
11. Answer switchboard and direct calls
12. Monitor staff to do the tasks assigned to each shift.
13. Process reservations: quoting correct rates and input of all information
14. Respond to guests’ requests, and pass on information to the appropriate
Department Head when necessary
15. Supply information about area services, attractions and dining to Hotel
guests
16. Read Front Desk memo and log book
17. Ensure that room assignments, VIP lists and special requests are prepared
for guests arrival
18. Perform other duties as assigned
Front Desk Clerk
Job description: General reception of our valued guests. Answering
phones and directing calls, taking reservations and checking in/out
guests using our computerized reservations system.
Skills required: Superior customer service skills, positive team
oriented attitude, familiarity with email, excellent telephone
manner. Will train individuals suited for the position.
Housekeeping Attendants
Job description: Perhaps the most integral part of our team, the
wages we offer will reflect it. The housekeeper’s duties will
include overall cleaning of guest rooms and the common areas of our
resort while exceeding the already high standards of our brand.
Skills required: Superior & professional cleaning standards. Some
heavy lifting required. Team oriented. Strict attention to detail.
Superior & friendly customer service skills. Will train individuals
suited for the position.
Marina Workers
Job description: Includes (but is not limited to) attending to the
rentals of our watercraft while adhering to the execution of our
rental safety guidelines, pumping gas and cleaning/detailing our
equipment.
Skills required: Superior customer service skills. Team oriented.
Attention to detail. Some familiarity with boats, seadoos or kayaks.
Preference will be given to applicants possessing the Pleasure Craft
Operators Card but we are willing to train suitable applicants.
Position availability: June 2008- 1 part time position.
July & August- 8 full time positions.
